Bangkok
Dynamic and diverse Bangkok was transformed from a place of wooden houses, canals, and rice fields into one of Asia's most modern industrialized cities. Take a harrowing motorcycle ride through rush hour traffic, and explore all of Bangkok's nooks and crannies. Get picture-taking tips from a photojournalist, and visit the fruit and vegetable markets where Thai cooking begins. Rudy swims with the sharks in Southeast Asia's largest indoor aquarium!
Golden Triangle
Rudy takes you deep into the heart of Thailand's Golden Triangle. Here are hill tribes, each with a unique culture, and primeval forests out of the pages of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. Take an idyllic long-tailed boat ride along the Kok River, luxuriate in out-of-this-world guesthouses and a tented resort, and go bargain hunting at the Night Market. Rudy meets a kickboxer-turned-cowboy monk who stood up to a powerful drug with the teachings of Buddha, and bonds with the residents of an elephant orphanage.
Andaman Coast
Look no further if you're seeking an island paradise with pristine beaches, secret coves, translucent waters, and spectacular sunsets. Beginning in Phuket Island, Rudy explores the Andaman Coast's smaller islands. From breathtakingly beautiful coral reefs to an exhilarating windsurfing rally to such natural marvels as Phang Nga Bay, a chain of 40 islands, Rudy reveals all of the tropical pleasures to be found here.

Review by Andrea Miller, 2010-02-15
This DVD serves as a very rough introduction to Thailand. It only covers 3 area: Bangkok, the Golden Triangle area, and the southern beaches. The images are beautiful, but the real value of the DVD lies in the producers/writers commentary in the DVD extras section.

planning a trip in the near future and loved this dvd. Rudy is a great traveler and seems to be an expert on Thailand since he respects and loves this country. 5 plus stars!

Absolutely beautifully filmed in one of the most exciting places in the world !!! The only slight negative is the endless bonus commentary which of coarse you don't need to watch anyway. This has to be Rudy's best work yet!!!
